Busy but productive day

[I've been super busy and haven't uploaded photos but hope to get to it soon. I've configured the blog to archive entries weekly now instead of monthly so fewer entries are showing at the bottom.]

The sun shone through today. It's been windy and sometimes cloudy, yet somewhat humid. It's turning back into Nova Scotia weather.

We had 18 children out this morning. My topic: street/traffic signs. I also met Pam MacKenzie and 2 of her children (Justin and Hannah) from the Springfield assembly in PEI. Pam is Joseph Cress' 2nd cousin. Afterwards, Carrie Hurley invited me over to the Hurley home for lunch.

After lunch I headed back to the apartment to prep for the Gospel Meeting. Drove out to the tent to meet Murray and we did some visitation in the area with invitations. People were friendly and took the invitations or said they got one in the mail.

Went over to Mrs. Stewart's for supper and enjoyed a very tasty stew.

We had a good turn out tonight at the tent: 50 people perhaps. Lots of young people--Christians children (some profess) and some Sunday school contacts not saved.

Good news: Doris Taylor's mild heart attack suffered a few days ago was not as serious. She has a blockage in a valve that doctors feel can be removed by taking medication. Ken left the Gospel Meetings with James McClellen in Clementsvale to be with her. She's currently in the Amherst hospital stuck in the emergency ward due to a bed shortage awaiting a stress test.

Cecil Morton's nephew's small grandson who poked himself in the corner of his eye with a BBQ skewer that penetrated his brain is showing some complications. (It was during a camping trip.) Fluid is building up in his brain and they can't transfer him from St. John, NB to Moncton hospital until the swelling goes down.

Chuck Hurley's grandson was born a few days ago premature and jaundiced, but is gaining weight and getting better.
