Taste of Vancouver weather again
Cecil said yesterday that I had brought some of the rain from home with me out east. I think the weather was partly responsible for the drop in attendance this morning at the Children's Meeting. We had perhaps 12-15 children out.
I went grocery shopping at Atlantic Superstore after lunch (made a roast beef sandwich, and drank orange juice) and bought some cereal, whole-wheat bread, and a bag of assorted frozen vegetables. Murray came by the apartment at 3:30pm and we had a nice time of fellowship while discussing the status of the meetings.
Clyde and Bonita Elliott were kind enough to invite me over to their place for supper. (People call the 3 meals of the day breakfast, dinner and supper instead of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.) Bonita's unsaved mother, Helen Lawless, was there, too. I had a nice time there.
After returning to the apartment to get dressed for meeting, Glady's and John Wheaton stopped by with some waffles she had made for me (and a bottle of honey) so I can have them for breakfast. Truly the Lord's people are the excellent of the earth!
We had 50+ out at the tent tonight as the sun also began to break through the overcast skies. It rained quite a bit during the day.
