Thunder in the early hours

[I've uploaded pictures from last Sat. to Tues. on my webserver. Click on the link on the right hand side under the Links section.]

I was half asleep when at ~6 am we had a loud thunderstorm followed by heavy rain in the early hours of the morning. It was louder than anything I've encountered back home in Vancouver. During the day, it was overcast and windy, but eventually towards the late afternoon/early evening the sun shone through.

We had 22 children out this morning. My lesson was "Man's Ingredients", cf. Mark 7:21-23. Afterwards I invited Angie Hunt and her children out to McDonald's for lunch as a thank you for all the times Terry and her have had me over to their home for a meal. (They drove up with a trailer and are camped beside the tent, so they wouldn't have to drive 1 hr to get to the meeting.) Lydia Wood was also able to join us after getting off work at Sobeye's supermarket.

Murray came over to the apartment for a nice time of fellowship before we went out visiting homes. We had a nice chat with a number of residents living in a cul-de-sac near the tent.

Cecil and Margaret invited Murray and I to the Dragon Inn Chinese restaurant for dinner at 5pm. Mrs. Stewart was also invited. It was good meeting the few Chinese people in Amherst and I was able to give the woman an invitation to the tent meetings. Following Cecil and Murray's advice, my plan is to meet and invite all the Chinese people in town to the meetings.

A good number came out to the tent tonight, maybe 40-50 again.
