Liquid Sunshine
It rained on and off today. This morning, I read my Bible, mailed a letter at the Post Office, went to the bank, went to Sears, then Dollarama, and finally filled up the VW at Shell for tomorrow's trip. Keep reading. What did I have for breakfast? Raisin and almond granola cereal...something that will keep me fairly full. I just don't like the high sugar content (33%) per bowl. I also took a number of pictures around town.
After I got back to the apartment, I had a ham sandwich, orange juice, and microwaved a bowl of frozen assorted vegetables. That worked out well and my hunger was gone.
Murray called this afternoon and we decided to postpone the door-to-door work because of the rain. This gave me time to work on my correspondence, prepare for meeting, and look over 1 John for the Halifax Bible Readings. Murray was doing the same.
I also decided to stay down in Halifax overnight to take in as much of the conference as possible. This will be my first time staying overnight at a conference and I'm going to have to pack a few things in the morning before we leave. I'm going to pay for my own motel to ensure a good night's sleep. Murray is coming to pick me up at 6:45 am.
Chuck Hurley brought me another container of well water this afternoon. The tap water here is chlorinated. Had a nice supper again at Mrs. Stewarts!
Bonita Elliott's surgery went well, but Clyde said they are keeping her overnight because of her discomfort.
Smaller number out at the tent: 20-25. Pearl brought out 2 of her neighbours which was good. Many saints were likely headed to the conference.
