A Soul Saved

James Hunt told his mother Angie this morning, "I want to be saved now!" He has been troubled since the Saturday night Gospel Meeting in Halifax during the Bible Readings. She called Murray for advice while her daughter Janesta gave him some Gospel tracts. Murray suggested that he get alone with God and His Word. James read a tract which had John 19:30 on it "It is finished." Shortly after he told his mother that he had entered into the truth of this verse and he was saved. We rejoice with God and the angels in Heaven over one precious soul that repents and receives Christ as Saviour, Luke 15:10. We trust that over time his life will bring forth fruit demonstrating his faith.

This morning, I spent time with Brian and Brenda Wood and their family as they drove me down to the Fossil Cliffs at Joggins, NS. Very rugged and beautiful.

After returning home, I prepared for the meeting until Murray dropped by at 4pm and we had a nice time of fellowship followed by prayer. He went off to visit contacts (that he wanted to visit on his own) and I finished preparing.

I enjoyed a good supper at Mrs. Stewart's courtesy of her daughter Sylvia: seafood casserole. Tasty!

We had 35-40 out tonight at the Gospel Meeting.
