SS Picnic at Northport

[A few days ago, I uploaded a QuickTime video clip onto my website. Long process: import AVI clip from camera to iPhoto, then import clip into iMovie, and finally export it into a small QuickTime .mov format. Check it out and let me now what you think.]

Merlin Russell asked me Thursday night after the meeting if I was free to speak to the children during their picnic today at Northport Provincial Park. I said sure. After a PBJ breakfast, I prep'ed for the lesson and headed out along Hwy 6 to the park.

Picked up Ben and Josiah Wood enroute, as Brenda already left with Lydia, Joanna, and Isaac. Wonderful weather: sunny and breezy even to the point of being cold. Check out the pictures. We sang for 15 minutes, and I had a word before we had a nice BBQ hamburger and hotdog lunch. Then the SS games and activities rolled into action.

I left the picnic after 2pm and drove Ben back home. Back in town, I returned the Win98 CD to that nice guy and gave him a John 14:6 text as a 'thank you' for his kindness. Bought gas from Irving and then drove back.

I've been in the apartment since, catching up on e-mails, accounting, and blogging (like now). It's nice having some quiet time to oneself. Clifford Budd invited me to come and fellowship with the Oxford assembly tomorrow for the Lord's Day morning, and that's were I will be, Lord willing. Murray is going to Tatamagouche tomorrow after spending today back home in Sussex, NB.
